Leadership Team Now Complete
Stefan Rensinghoff and Harald Zenke strengthen the managment board.
With Stefan Rensinghoff and Harald Zenke the new leadership team at North Channel Bank is now complete. Following the appointment of Gunnar Volkers as the successor to the previous management board already as of 1 January 2017, further additions to the leadership team have been Mr Rensinghoff, since 1 March, and Mr Zenke, since 1 April.
Stefan Rensinghoff was most recently Head of Corporate Finance at HSH Nordbank AG in Hamburg and, there, he was responsible for the expansion and reorganization of the Corporate Advisory, M&A, Leveraged Finance, Capital Structuring and Syndication divisions. In the period from 2011 to 2013, Mr Rensinghoff worked as an independent management consultant with a specialist focus on debt advisory. Prior to that, from November 2009 to December 2010, he was a Member of the Executive Board of Investkredit AG in Vienna and, moreover, for two years as of 2009, he belonged to the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) for Export Credit Guarantees.
From 2005 to 2009, in his position as Global Head of Structured Finance at DZ Bank AG, in Frankfurt, he built up the global structured finance division and achieved a substantial increase in earnings here. Stefan Rensinghoff began his professional career at IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG in Düsseldorf. He operated there very successfully for almost 18 years in various management positions, most recently as a member of the divisional management team for structured finance. Mr Rensinghoff is a qualified German banker, a Diplom-Betriebswirt (FH) [holder of a business administration degree awarded by a university of applied sciences] and holds a B.A. in European Business Administration.
Harald Zenke set up the consulting platform (Strategy & Finance) Advisory in Frankfurt in 2013. Up to the end of March 2017, as Managing Director there, he successfully managed mandates with the focus on strategic changes in the financial industry, the development of financing concepts for medium-sized as well as multi-national enterprises and he was actively involved in entrepreneurial advisory services. Other focal points were in the fields of “digital transformation“, and “renewable energies“. Moreover, from October 2016 to March 2017, Harald Zenke was a Member of the Board of Public Finance AG in Essen, a company specializing in municipal finance and municipal infrastructure solutions. Furthermore, since 2015, Mr Zenke has been a Managing Partner at the Réseau Group, a network of consultants and, since 2016, at Smart Grid Solution GmbH in Frankfurt.
From January 2011 until April 2013, he held the position of Speaker of the Management Board of KFW IPEX-Bank GmbH in Frankfurt, the export and project finance arm of the KfW banking group. In the 14 years prior to that, Mr Zenke successfully held various executive roles at the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg. In particular, as the Executive Vice President Europe he was responsible for the entire European corporate banking business outside of Baden-Württemberg as well as the Corporate Finance division, including Syndication, Acquisition Finance, Project Finance and Lease Refinancing. During this time, he provided guidance and support for the acquisition and integration of four banks and was responsible for the development of a European network of operations in 9 countries. He began his career at Dresdner Bank AG and Citibank AG. Herr Zenke holds a degree in economics.
North Channel Bank GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1924 as the private bank Bankhaus Oswald Kruber, located in Berlin. In 2009, a group of North American investors with expertise in the life settlement sector acquired the bank and renamed it North Channel Bank. In the following years the bank developed into one of the leading institutes in US life settlement financing. With the 2013 takeover of the subsidiary NorthStar Life Services, LLC in Irvine, California, the bank gained direct access to and influence on a reliable, experienced and renowned service provider. Today, in addition to the financing of US life settlements, the bank also offers individual services in the securities trading business and in structured finance.
