Curriculum Vitae of Stefan Rensinghoff
Stefan Rensinghoff has been a member of the leadership team of North Channel Bank since March 1, 2017. He most recently served as Head of the Corporate Finance Division at HSH Nordbank AG, Hamburg. He was responsible for the expansion and reorganization of the Corporate Advisory, M&A, Leveraged Finance, Capital Structuring, and Syndications segments.
Mr Rensinghoff has extensive professional expertise in the fields of structured finance, covering export finance, trade finance, project finance, LBO finance, syndication, and securitization. During extended stays in Indonesia and Hong Kong, he developed the Asian market for IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG, ultimately establishing the financial institution as one of the leading providers for LBO financing in Europe.
He developed and expanded business models successfully on several occasions and has a vast experience as a consultant in M&A transactions and debt advisory. For 25 years Mr Rensinghoff demonstrated his leadership qualities in a wide variety of challenging situations and has a considerable network in banks, insurance companies, family offices, and enterprises at his disposal.
Prior to working for HSH Nordbank, Stefan Rensinghoff served as an independent business consultant in debt advisory between 2011 and 2013.
From November 2009 to December 2010, he was a member of the Board of Directors at Investkredit AG in Vienna for the corporate client business, and also served on the Inter-Ministerial Committee for Export Credit Guarantees from 2009 for two years, where he advised the relevant ministries together with highranking experts from finance, trade, and industry regarding the assumption of coverage for export transactions and the implications of political decisions relating to the fundamental conditions of the export industry (e.g. Basel III).
From 2005 to 2009, in his position as Global Head of Structured Finance at DZ Bank AG in Frankfurt, he built up the Global Structured Finance Division and achieved a substantial increase in earnings here.
As a guest lecturer he taught law and business graduates for the post-graduate MBA in M&A at the University of Münster and was part of the Supervisory Board of AKA-Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft m.b.H in Frankfurt from 2007 to 2009.
Stefan Rensinghoff began his professional career at IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG in Düsseldorf, where he served very successfully for almost 18 years in various management positions, most recently as a member of the divisional management board for Private Equity and LBO Financing.
Mr Rensinghoff is a qualified German banker, a Diplom-Betriebswirt (FH) and holds a B.A. in European Business Administration
